Victorian Chair

Just finished this little Victorian Chair with a tiny bottle sitting on it with a tiny copper tangle for a nest and two pearl like beads for eggs and a tiny mother of pearl bird perched upon the tiny copper wire above it. When you pick up the chair the bird moves around on the wire and inside is a single dangle with a tiny crystal that trembles at your touch. Made from a silver colored metal chair, recycled buttons one of which has a humming bird on it. I don't know if any of the items are vintage or not.

Lucid Dreaming Cuff

The best Lucid Dreaming technique I have found is the Reality Check technique. This technique involves asking yourself through out the day this question, "Am I dreaming NOW?" and then doing something to show that YES you ARE or NO you ARE NOT dreaming. The Reality Check can be something as simple as reading something, looking away and then looking back to see if the writing has changed. In a dream the writing changes from one look to the next. YOU ARE DREAMING! At this point you become the director in your own dream, able to "edit" the dream as you wish.

By wearing this pretty bracelet cuff, every time you look at it it will remind you to do a Reality Check. You will get so used to asking these questions that they will become automatic and you will ask the questions, and do the reality check in your dreams as well. Lucid Dreaming is a well established method of dealing with nightmares. You can change a monster into a less scary cute movie star or you can change the location of the dream into a beautiful not scary vacation spot. Try it, you'll fall in love with dreaming all over again, and again.

Playing with Polyvore

I'm taking a little break this morning and playing with polyvore and fashion NOT using real materials but virtual digital collage. As you can see I need a lot of practice but it's fun learning something new, and that helps keep the old brain cells sharpened up. I love teals and thought the splash of purple would be a visually stunning pairing. I always loved getting the bigger crayola box of crayons with more than just the usual primary colors plus seven (did I count that right?). I would start out trying to color inside the lines, then I would always end up embellishing what was outside the lines or the background. Never being satisfied I would just keep coloring never accepting the fact that the picture was finished and I always ended up muddying and cluttering the whole picture ruining it. But I had fun doing it and still do although I hope I have a little more control now days.

Lucid Blues

Lucid Blues are among my bedtime thoughts along with insomnia, nocturnal wanderings through my house at midnight and reading anything boring when trying to catch a good nights sleep. I practice Lucid Dreaming because it's better than nightmares and I had hopes that making my nightly journey more exciting I would sleep longer. It hasn't helped me sleep longer, but nightmares are fewer and my dreams are a lot more fun. For some reason you cannot have Lucid Dreams all of the time, so I sometimes go through Lucid Blues wishing for a fun dream or two.

Vitamin B6 has the effect of making your dreams very vivid and therefore if it's a nightmare it's much scarier than usual so be careful not to take that before bedtime unless your looking for a good scare.

Spirit Rehab

Spirits have pretty much the same kind of personality as they had in their living life. Hence the bad will be bad, the sad will be sad and the mischievous pranksters will of course be the ones who like to hide your keys and make your oatmeal boil over. So, sometimes a Spirit Rehab is the perfect way to entice those pesky spirits into an enclosure for a time out. If you would like to see some of my Spirit Rehab Jars complete with trinkets and dangles to keep the spirits entertained while inside check out my Etsy shops.

This little photo is of one of my Spirit Inspiration Jars, the incantations used for this one are supposed to attract creativity, focus and inspiration to you and your creative space. All items used are cleansed and empowered before they are used to eliminate any negativity.

Camera Fun

Just taking some photos and playing around with my digital camera and I thought this was interesting. I'm liking the colors, it's a little dark but still came out o.k. I think I need to try something with a little more light for the background though. I used my macro setting and a few things I found around the house and some lights.

Day of the Dead

Day Of The Dead Comments

~Magickal Graphics~

All Souls Day, On the coming November 2nd Celebrate the knowledge given by your ancestors:
Ben Franklin said "Three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead".
Wish K. D. Lang a happy Birthday Nov. 2, 1961 and Winona Ryder on Oct. 29th, 1971 and Pablo Picasso Oct. 25th, 1881.

Saturday, October 23, 2010

There are probably a thousand and one different rituals and celebrations that have been created for the coming Samhain when the living and the nonliving come together and cross that line which once separated them. However you celebrate pay close attention to showing respect for the ancestors who have come before us and always be mindful of their strength and power.

Scorpio Signs

Happy Birthday to all the upcoming Scorpios starting October 23 through November 21. Scorpio is a fixed water sign, ruled by Pluto the planet of intensity and those born under that sign tend to be ardent people drawn to earnest endeavors. Ma & Pa Halloween

Meet Ma & Pa Halloween, if you are against nudity look the other way please! They said their vows and promised to love each other till death do they part, except they didn't part even then. Their love for each other was just too strong, and those implants she got for their 10th anniversary held up just fine too.

Could Lady Gaga NOT wear clothing made out of meat parts! I like that she is a unique and way out there girl, but that "Meatwear" stolen from project runway was just NOT pretty, NOT unique enough and NOT anything she could reasonably explain. She could have worn a pretty piece of pastry and smeared icing all over herself or went totally chocolate with it dripping all over her and strategically placed for a WOW piece and she would have gotten rave reviews. This piece was inspired by Lady Gaga before the meat fiasco and I rather like the big heart she wears. This one started out with a porcelain doll with fabric body. I thought about how to make her clothing, then realized that I can't sew so I painted her with silver acrylic paint, a lead look-a-like of glass paint and lots of jewelry embellishments. The red heart is an acrylic piece recycled from a cheesy piece of jewelry but I liked that the light shines through it beautifully. I hope you enjoy her as much as I enjoyed working on her and you can see a full view at my etsy shop.

Halloween "Vampsace" Designed

A beautiful black clutch altered and embellished for Halloween Party fun by that infamous designer "Vampsace" was just listed at my Etsy shop and is available for purchase. There are buttons of unknown age and past experiences, tattered netted fabric with silvered Stars, Moons and Sunbursts on it and little crocheted circles and beads scattered across this little Club clutch.

On another note I found a recipe for the "Fire of Lust" potion as found in "Everyday Magic" a book of Spells & Rituals for Modern Living and it sounds like it just might work for me! Some of the ingredients listed are Bourbon, Vodka, Sloe Gin and a few spices and garnishes. Yes, I think that just might do the trick, or treat!

Kitchen Witch

There is a seasonal phenomenon that is the main cause of the bright autumn colors of the leaves. When the autumn days are sunny, plenty of sugar can be produced in the leaves. Then the coolness of the nights prevent the sugar from moving out of the leaves and down to the trunk of the tree. That trapped sugar creates a red pigment called anthocyanin and is what makes the best and prettiest bright colored leaves of the trees such as maples, dogwood, scarlet oak and sassafras.

Speaking of sugar, this Kitchen Witch Spirit Jar will produce a happy haven (or rehab if you will) for those mischievous spirits and fairies who cause the sugar to spill from the bag onto the floor when you are baking those special much appreciated cookies and cakes.

Queen of Hearts

The Queen of Hearts with her new fierce hair do is riding on her glass rabbit with all her hearts scattered around her. She likes her new makeover, no more stuffy hair spray mile high curled locks for her. Her little pale yellow glass rabbit has pretty pink hearts all over it and was once a candle holder and now is a grand steed carrying a Queen. This stately Queen will rule over chaos and clutter on any desk in any cubicle.

New name, Old name

What's in a name, maybe a lot according to the Farmers Almanac. Names thought to be likable in the 70's such as Kim, Jennifer, Wendy or Tammy are thought now to be less likable and replaced by names with a "spicier" quality or a new sounding name in order to be thought of as likable or popular. It shouldn't be too long in this electronic age before the names start to reflect the machines on which so much of our quality of life depends on. Little boys will have names like "Gamer" or "Graphx" or for a girl you could go with "Cirkit" or "Mode" and I'm sure you could think of a few yourself.
Myself, I was named after someone older than me so I will forever have the words "Little" in front of my name, even when it becomes obvious that I am not the "Littler" of the two of us.

Steamjunk Punk

"Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes, That call me on and on across the universe. Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box; they tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe." quoted by John Lennon and Paul McCartney in their song "Across the Universe". The words of these two musically well endowed genius pair has always brought a debate of how they chose their words in song and poem alike. The meanings have picked apart by magpies and mystics who blame each other for their misinterpretations.

Memorial Marker

These are home made Memorial Grave Marker Photos and instructions for making your own using simple to buy items, glue and varnish. I started out wanting to buy Photograph Markers for my mother, and was appalled at the cost. I knew I could find a way to make my own at a much less expensive cost and I am very pleased at the outcome.

Items needed:
1. Picture frames (weather resistant)
2. K-bob skewers (weather proofed or painted)
3. Outdoor adhesive glue
4. Varnish

Pretty simple isn't it, the skewers are great because they already come with a pointed end which makes the marker easily inserted into the ground at the grave site. These are also a wonderful activity for you and your child to respectfully honor a pet who has passed on.

1. Remove the cardboard lever which allows a picture frame to sit up if there is one.
2. Coat the photo with a sheer covering of varnish to weather proof it and let it dry.
3. Insert the photo into the picture frame.
4. Glue the skewer to the back of the frame.
5. Cover the back of the picture frame with varnish.
6. Cover the picture frame sides and front with varnish.
7. Seal the crack around the picture frame glass and the picture frame so not to allow water to seep inside and ruin the photo.
8. Glue a piece of weather proof backing over the back of the picture frame to hid the area where you glued the skewer to the frame.
9. Take special care when inserting the skewer into the ground. Grip the skewer not the picture frame itself to insert the marker into the ground. You may have to wet the ground first to enable the skewer to be inserted far enough to make it sturdy enough to stand in the wind.

Infinite Oddities

I remember as a child I would do anything I could not to be noticed, I always wanted to look just like everyone else and above all else I did not want to appear to be different. Not anymore, I strive to be noticed (if only on the internet) and go to great lengths to appear "different". I can't tell you the moment I finally excepted my weirdness or at what point I decided I didn't care that people thought me weird. I only know that if I had to do it again I would get to that point in my life much, much sooner than before.

Now when I rescue all the red balloons from the car lots and set them free I don't care what anyone thinks of me, except maybe when some silly bird tries to eat the remains...then I think maybe I should have thought a little more ahead at what disaster might be let loose. The sickly birdie with the half eaten red balloon pieces in his tummy(only a guy bird would eat red latex)
would get sick and barf on the windshield of that 18 wheeler causing one of the biggest interstate tie ups in the history of..... The names of the innocent have been changed in order to save them from embarrassment.

Scammers Beware

I received a scam email this morning regarding one of my items with an extremely expensive price tag of $10,000.00 for a print. I put this in my shop as a joke and never expected anyone to really buy it, but it was good publicity and got me a lot of views. Ha, ha. Only a scammer would consider buying it. My fury is now unleashed, this is what I emailed back to the scammer:

f you would truly like to have the item listed for $10,000.00 please deposit this amount into my Paypal account immediately and as soon as the funds have cleared I would be more than happy to send the item to you.

If, however this offer is not a true offer and in your heart you know the difference I will send you something free of charge. In the next two days to two weeks you will suffer the hex of three, which affects black hearts only.

The first of the three hex tribulation will occur to your heart in the form of a loss or damage to something you value. At this time if you wish you can choose to purchase a smaller item from my shop as an apology. I will not know who you are since I sell items from my Paypal account all the time I will not know which buyer was willing to cheat me at their own peril.

The second hex will affect the heart and you will be shamed with the loss of something or someone close to your heart. I am not an evil entity so no one but you will suffer from this curse of the hex of three, but a loss is a loss. At this time if you wish to atone for your blackened heart you will purchase three items from my shop and the curse will be terminated.

If at this time you have not learned the lesson of letting go of a withered black heart there will be a permanent curse upon you at intervals of no less than every two months you will suffer either a loss of something you value or something you love. This hex will continue over and over until you have given up your black heart and made your apologies to me by buying five items from my shop.

This curse is in effect as of this minute which is 11:13 a.m.

I look forward to doing business with you and value you as a customer. Thank you for your interest and thank you for visiting my shop at etsy.

Check my new items at my Etsy shop today!

Spirit Jar

I love the blue glass color of the old Phillips Milk of Magnesia bottles, so sad it all went to plastic. I do think plastic is going to be the death of all of us, it is too integrated into our daily lives to ever be able to be rid of it all and it ALL will still be here long after you and I are gone. Babies are watched over so carefully, but are given plastic bottles, plastic diapers, plastic toys and pacifiers from their first day of life they are introduced to plastic. I may rant and rave but as I look around half of what I own today has some plastic in it, you can not get away from it.

Emerson Quote
Emerson Quote by mystic2awesome

One of my favorite Emerson quotes says it all about Succeeding at the important things in life. Sometimes the kindness you show someone who is feeling down is the most important thing you can do on that particular day and just like ripples in a pond their reach is far and wide.
