Fish Wife

I found this little head with a fish on top, lost and unloved with no idea where it's body was or why it was unloved. Now it stands proudly on top of this spirit jar sealing those pesky spirits inside and watching over the kitchen with special incantations that will make the fisherman's catch small because you would rather be shopping than cleaning fish.

Could Lady Gaga NOT wear clothing made out of meat parts! I like that she is a unique and way out there girl, but that "Meatwear" stolen from project runway was just NOT pretty, NOT unique enough and NOT anything she could reasonably explain. She could have worn a pretty piece of pastry and smeared icing all over herself or went totally chocolate with it dripping all over her and strategically placed for a WOW piece and she would have gotten rave reviews. This piece was inspired by Lady Gaga before the meat fiasco and I rather like the big heart she wears. This one started out with a porcelain doll with fabric body. I thought about how to make her clothing, then realized that I can't sew so I painted her with silver acrylic paint, a lead look-a-like of glass paint and lots of jewelry embellishments. The red heart is an acrylic piece recycled from a cheesy piece of jewelry but I liked that the light shines through it beautifully. Teenage Hellcat... by weirdoddities

Cats are a breed of very wise and elegant entities that roam their kingdom at will and lord over all in that kingdom. This is a style board from kaboodle that I entered into a contest using. The theme is Teenage Hellcats and you are supposed to create something to go with that theme. They are fun to do and I like to use them with my crafts for advertisement purposes. Since I have been working the Census job which is only going to be for a few weeks I haven't been able to find time to do much creating. The paperwork I generate for the U.S. of A doing this is really tough when I think of all the trees I am killing, forgive me! It'll be over soon and they won't do it for another 10 years.

Lucid Dream Statement Piece

Lucid Dreaming techniques show that your chances of having a Lucid Dream are greatly increased by doing Reality Checks often during the day. By having a Lucid Dream Bracelet Cuff on your wrist you will naturally notice the Cuff often during the day on your wrist. When you do notice the Lucid Dream Cuff ask yourself this question "Am I dreaming now?" Look at your surroundings for "Clues" that you are NOT dreaming, such as can I read something or does it look odd, do I know how I got to the place I am at right now. Sweet Dreams

Dragons are one of my favorite creatures, seen from a distance of course, they are so magical and strong and can fly. I have been trying to change into a dragon in my Lucid Dreaming experiments lately and have had no luck at all. Then again I should have expected little else because I am afraid of flying in the real world so why should it be much different when I have the remote control and can edit my dreams (sometimes). Better luck next time I guess, and sweet dreams to all.

Water Thoughts

For some reason today I am drawn to water scenes, thoughts of ponds with water lilies and magical pockets of water caught in high rocks of red sandstone. There are water falls which only occur once a year in a short span of the monsoons of Nevada (that is a span of 10 days). When fellow hikers see that it has occurred they hike out to the spot knowing that it will only be there for a very short time. After the initial few days or sometimes even just a few hours the water recedes and is soaked up by the enormous thirst of the desert and it is gone until the next year. The wait is well worth it to see a water fall being created by the Great Mother of Nature itself in a storm of rain and then to see it die just as quickly but much more quietly is a sadness which is included in the price of admission.

Creative Nose Knows

When you allow the right nostril to breath clearly and slow the flow through the left nostril the right side of your body and also the left hemisphere of the brain are predominant, the mind is more receptive at this time. And then when I create I will try to keep the Right side of my brain stimulated. Oh, that reminds me I checked out the blog at "Son of Right Hemisphere Laboratory" and he is as creative if not more than ever by showing how his creativeness evolves, it is way sooo cool.
So I will try to sleep with my one right nostril open to start off tonight and see if it helps my Lucid Dreaming scheming. Who knows couldn't hurt. Lying on the left side or keeping a pillow under the left side is said to help open the right nostril.

Best of 2009

The best moment of 2009 for me was when Frankenbarry (Son of Right-Hemisphere Laboratory blog artist extraordinaire) purchased and then posted a picture of Guinevere Robot Queen in his blog along with an extremely kind and thoughtful *blush* article on the piece. It was heaven and I will never forget his kindness. 2009 was quite a struggle for me personally and a really tough year being one of the many unemployed I thought I was on a downward spiral. But no door is ever closed without another door being opened. Dream Hell or Help

Dream Hell is where you are in a dream and want to wake up but can't, want to move but can't or want to scream but can't. The simple act of realizing that you ARE in a dream will cause you to wake up because at that point you question your own mind and the dream sequence becomes interrupted. It is a fun thing when you begin to control some of the scary things that happen in dreams, but it's not good to do it too often because the mind needs out of control dreams sometimes.
