Sad Sorceress

She's a sad sorceress who's love was lost so many years ago she's lost count; but who's heart still is in 1000 pieces never to mend. She was reincarnated from a sad clown doll into a mysterious Sad Sorceress using repurposed jewelry, buttons, beads and other "once loved" items and more views can be seen at the gothb4play shop at Etsy. Also if you have a chance here is a great giveaway:

New Ice Age

So did someone forget to tell me that the New Ice Age was upon us? Has the government been keeping the truth from us about the weather to keep the world from falling into chaos? Did the planet tip a little and no one felt it but the birds, bees and other true leaders of this world? Is Spring on it's way or did we see the last of Mother Natures wonderful colors last year and the world is really going to end in 2012 it's just going to take another ten months for it to finally get to it...OR NOT!

Spirit Jar

I love the blue glass color of the old Phillips Milk of Magnesia bottles, so sad it all went to plastic. I do think plastic is going to be the death of all of us, it is too integrated into our daily lives to ever be able to be rid of it all and it ALL will still be here long after you and I are gone. Babies are watched over so carefully, but are given plastic bottles, plastic diapers, plastic toys and pacifiers from their first day of life they are introduced to plastic. I may rant and rave but as I look around half of what I own today has some plastic in it, you can not get away from it.

Medicine Bag

This piece was inspired by the Medicine Bags that the Native Indians used but gone a little 2010 wild. I recycled a never used purse with hand made beaded flower and hand made wire bead dangles with lots of beads, shells, and polished rock chips, and the focal is a key and chain brooch and silver colored recycled buttons. For the back side you can visit my little shops at etsy where I have five views of this piece and a more detailed description and measurements.

I love finding new homes for my Altered Art Pieces and it's exciting to learn where they will be going to live and who they will be sharing new adventures with. Pardon the sparseness of my posts lately I am still singing the "Computer Blues" and just switched from McAlfee to Norton to help find the little troublesome spots in my system that are conflicting with some other troublesome file or whatever. Heck, my system is just old and that doesn't just mean my computer either. So if you expect to see a new post and it isn't there on some days it's not me it's my spiteful computer.....ooops I mean my poor pitiful overworked little computer.

Cookoo's Nest

And how is YOUR Cookoo nest doing on this 17th day of the year 2010. What is it that really, really drives you crazy and turns you into that Jekyll to Hyde personality? I'll tell you mine. My husband, love him I do, but sometimes he challenges my sanity. He just HAS to ask questions...about everything and anything.

He goes into the kitchen and within 10 seconds (yes I have timed him) he has a question. And it's a question that I know if he thought about it for 2 minutes he could answer it himself. But he cannot help himself, and it is always a simple yes or no question. I finally put a paper plate in the kitchen and wrote the words "YES" on one side and the words "NO" on the other.

When he goes in and asks his question I tell him to look at the plate and decide. Did it work? NO! Now he asks questions that can't be answered with a simple yes or no.

Lucid Dream Bride

Isn't it a wonderful thing that you can choose any color you want for your wedding dress you see fit, instead of sticking with the traditional white of days gone by. You can choose the theme, the color, the place and the Honeymoon you wish and not worry about what "others" will think.

It is said that your unconscious mind is unable to understand and tell the difference between a feeling, or perceived event or a thought that is actually real or one that is imagined. That is one reason while in a dream you sometimes see something that absolutely cannot be real but are unable to see that it is not real like a flying elephant. But if you could train your mind to automatically question events by the statement "Is this a dream" you will do the same whether awake or unconscious. Once realizing that it is in fact a dream you are able to "edit" the dream sequence. Some will choose to change the elephant into a real elephant, delete the elephant altogether or as I do jump on the elephant with your groom and let it take you to a favorite vacation spot for your wedding. If you are looking for a bride in the photo at the top, you won't find it ...but then again maybe you will.

CyBeRBoRya

Maia/Feronia (Greco-Roman) is the Goddess of Fire who it is said ruled the element forces of growth and warmth, which also includes our "sexual heat" felt such compassion for this one little sorceress who has now come back to us from the depths where she was banished with some unusual cyber enhancements. You can click on the link below to see her if you wish. Yes, I am exercising my darker side today, but with good reason. I found this wizard at one of my favorite Thrift Museums yesterday and I fear that he is stronger than I realized at first. How could anybody want to discard him of their own free will. Perhaps his owner has passed over to the other side and his belongings were donated to this great Thrift Museum. If so, he has been waiting for the "right soul" to come along and free him from the midst of those other childish dolls and toys he was forced to share space with.

Robot Humanoid cohabitation

My very first attempt in the alteration of an action hero into a simulated biomechanic offspring of Robot and Humanoid cohabitation and ultimate coexistance. O.K. so I made a robot thingy out of discarded jewelry and junk. I had fun doing it and just may do it again, only I think it needs to go a little darker perhaps.
