Punked Junk

This junk (recycled once loved items) has been punked. All materials were recycled from items found at thrift shops, yard and estate sales except dor the adhesives. The cost is lower than newly aquired materials "made in China", monies stay here in the USA and the reincarnated dolls are very happy with their makeovers.

Eye Robot

Eye Robot in violet with it's loving cat purring at his bony leg was created using recycled items, jewelry pieces, wires and a little glass bottle holding it's weird brain. This is what happens when it just won't stop raining and the sun refuses to shine.

Fish

I love the colors of this piece which someone somewhere created and I found at a local thrift store. It has a lady's face beneath this fish which sits on her blue hair. I think it was a doll head maybe but lost it's body, maybe cloth. I placed it on top of one of my Spirit Jars and it works great and looks fantastic!

Reincarnated Girlz

The Mad Hatter said "We only go around in circles here in Wonderland, but we always end up where we started." Recycling is a little like that I suppose, things start out as useful for one reason and become useful for another reason. This little Robot started out as a necklace, a scarf, a glass chandelier, a belt, buttons on a blouse and maybe a few more things.

Ma & Pa Halloween

Meet Ma & Pa Halloween, if you are against nudity look the other way please! They said their vows and promised to love each other till death do they part, except they didn't part even then. Their love for each other was just too strong, and those implants she got for their 10th anniversary held up just fine too.

Infinite Oddities

I remember as a child I would do anything I could not to be noticed, I always wanted to look just like everyone else and above all else I did not want to appear to be different. Not anymore, I strive to be noticed (if only on the internet) and go to great lengths to appear "different". I can't tell you the moment I finally excepted my weirdness or at what point I decided I didn't care that people thought me weird. I only know that if I had to do it again I would get to that point in my life much, much sooner than before.

Now when I rescue all the red balloons from the car lots and set them free I don't care what anyone thinks of me, except maybe when some silly bird tries to eat the remains...then I think maybe I should have thought a little more ahead at what disaster might be let loose. The sickly birdie with the half eaten red balloon pieces in his tummy(only a guy bird would eat red latex)
would get sick and barf on the windshield of that 18 wheeler causing one of the biggest interstate tie ups in the history of..... The names of the innocent have been changed in order to save them from embarrassment.

Creative Clutter

Classy Sassy by mystic2awesome

I get so excited when one of my little precious treasures goes to some place I've never been. I immediately google the destination to see where my little precious is going to journey to, where it will begin a new life. A little piece of this cluttered mind went to Australia, a part to Wisconsin and another to Washington which are all places I have never traveled to. Thanks to all those who chose to browse through my etsy shop this July and I know you will love "your little precious" as much as I loved creating them.

Recycled Snobbery

Recycled snobbery is something which is made with repurposed materials but still has an attitude about it. There is only one, a unique one and no other will duplicate it exactly. Never, ever throw old junk away without first trying to reinvent a purpose to recycle and reuse. I am still trying to create my own little army of fierce fabulous fashion fighters and this one came out with a snobby attitude. Perhaps I didn't dress her as well as she wished, or maybe it was the hair do that upset her, but whatever it was she is still clearly pi**ed about it.

Reincarnated alteration

What do you do with those jewelry pieces that you just aren't in love with any more or never were to begin with. I like to use mine to make something I will fall in love with, something I can put on my desk and say "aaahaaa, no one has one like this!". One like what, you say? This little princess can be anything you want her to be, a desk buddy, a new bff or a mystical sorceress to ward off all evil that lurks within your office on a daily basis. I hope you enjoy her and for more views just go to my little Etsy shop for a peek.

I will miss my little Lady Gaga but so excited that she is on a new and exciting journey. I haven't had time to really create anything and I can tell it's affecting my moods and of all things my sleep.

Just for Fun!

Stripes and...

Stripes and... by weirdoddities

Just for fun I've been playing with some of the styleboards at Kaboodle. It's a fun exercise in shapes, colors, balancing and focusing and laughing all the way. Never take yourself too seriously while making a styleboard. They are a great way to advertise some of your items and you can easily send them out by email, share them with other sites and check out other styles for inspiration. If you haven't tried it yet, you gotta go do one. If I can figure it out with my little tiny doll brain anyone can.

Fierce Friends

Fierce Fantasy...

Fierce Fantasy... by weirdoddities

Sometimes you just have to go a little nuts, especially if like me you are a hoarder. I have learned to use my hoarder defects as a catalyst for my creativity. I see everything used as a test of my true creative talents and I vow not to fail this test. Luckily I have a spouse and partner in life who is indulgent of my little odd and unusual ways of entertaining myself. I'd love to hear about your ideas on recycling oldies into goodies.

Nyx Goddess

Nyx means Goddess of the Night and is handcrafted of polymer clay and decorated with jewels, a tombstone, huge bug, crystal ball, gem stones and recycled odds and ends. She just had a bad hair day and the gown she has on is designed by non other than the famously dead "Vampsace", too bad she had to dig it up first.

Halloween Decoration

Living in an apartment I have scaled down on my Halloween decorations this year. I am picking up small porcelain or china dolls at my favorite THRIFT MUSEUM and altering their looks just for Halloween. This doll is wearing a gown by the famous underworld designer "VAMPSACE", beautifully gothic in blacks, silvers and purples with faux diamonds as embellishments and her own hand made black tattoo of a spiderweb on her neck, a snake on her arm and brambles around her upper arm. She is only 4 inches tall and you can see her and her friends at mystic2awesome.etsy.com or just google me, mystic2awesome.
