"Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes, That call me on and on across the universe. Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box; they tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe." quoted by John Lennon and Paul McCartney in their song "Across the Universe". The words of these two musically well endowed genius pair has always brought a debate of how they chose their words in song and poem alike. The meanings have picked apart by magpies and mystics who blame each other for their misinterpretations.

Cucumber Dreams
I received a great email from my husband today (Yes, he's a keeper) about cucumbers.....
1. Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.
2. Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.
3. Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror, it will eliminate the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.
4. Are grubs and slugs ruining your planting beds? Place a few slices in a small pie tin and your garden will be free of pests all season long. The chemicals in the cucumber react with the aluminum to give off a scent undetectable to humans but drive garden pests crazy and make them flee the area.
5 Looking for a fast and easy way to remove cellulite before going out or to the pool? Try rubbing a slice or two of cucumbers along your problem area for a few minutes, the phytochemicals in the cucumber cause the collagen in your skin to tighten, firming up the outer layer and reducing the visibility of cellulite. Works great on wrinkles too!!!
6.. Want to avoid a hangover or terrible headache? Eat a few cucumber slices before going to bed and wake up refreshed and headache free. Cucumbers contain enough sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish essential nutrients the body lost, keeping everything in equilibrium, avoiding both a hangover and headache!!
7. Looking to fight off that afternoon or evening snacking binge? Cucumbers have been used for centuries and often used by European trappers, traders and explores for quick meals to thwart off starvation.
8. Have an important meeting or job interview and you realize that you don't have enough time to polish your shoes? Rub a freshly cut cucumber over the shoe, its chemicals will provide a quick and durable shine that not only looks great but also repels water.
9. Out of WD 40 and need to fix a squeaky hinge? Take a cucumber slice and rub it along the problematic hinge, and voila, the squeak is gone!
10. Stressed out and don't have time for massage, facial or visit to the spa? Cut up an entire cucumber and place it in a boiling pot of water, the chemicals and nutrients from the cucumber with react with the boiling water and be released in the steam, creating a soothing, relaxing aroma that has been shown the reduce stress in new mothers and college students during final exams.
11. Just finish a business lunch and realize you don't have gum or mints? Take a slice of cucumber and press it to the roof of your mouth with your tongue for 30 seconds to eliminate bad breath, the phytochemcials will kill the bacteria in your mouth responsible for causing bad breath.
12. Looking for a 'green' way to clean your faucets, sinks or stainless steel? Take a slice of cucumber and rub it on the surface you want to clean, not only will it remove years of tarnish and bring back the shine, but is won't leave streaks and won't harm you fingers or fingernails while you clean.
13. Using a pen and made a mistake? Take the outside of the cucumber and slowly use it to erase the pen writing, also works great on crayons and markers that the kids have used to decorate the walls!!
Pass this along to everybody you know who is looking for better and safer ways to solve life's everyday problems..

Mystical Magical Whimsical
Glass stemmed Mystical Magical Whimsical by mystic2awesome The "Focus Card" was randomly chosen today from my deck of cards, is somebody trying to tell me something today. This card tells of thoughts of focusing on what you have and want and not on what you don't have or don't want. You would think that no person would dwell on what they don't want but many do. Their whole lives are full of "What if this happens or that happens". Make a note that if you are one of these people that just has to dwell on these "Whats" add to that question these words "and what is the worst that could happen". Once you have faced what the very worst is it doesn't seem like it's quite as big of a mountain. You and only you can decide which thoughts you dwell on, so "choose" to dwell and focus on what you have and what you want and hold those thoughts in your heart and mind. I carry my cards, my incense, my cleansing articles and such in a special Bag like the one shown and sometimes when I find something new at the beach or in the woods I add it to the decorations of my Bag so that it is always evolving and gaining strength to keep my treasured items safe and protected. What do you keep your special treasured stones, scents or potions in and what makes them special to you?

Healing Path
A random choice of cards today turned out to be the "Healing" card. This card shows that a situation that has caused concern is on the mend. Well. that's good news and should pull everyone out of any funk they might find themselves in today. Visualizing the situation as healed no matter how hard that is can be a great starting point toward healing. Instead of focusing all your energy on what is wrong visualize what it would be like if the healing had already occurred. Visualization can help in many instances of both emotional pain and physical pain. I made a journal and wrote in the journal in red all the wrongs I believed were done to me by others and when I finished I read it from front to back. Then I built a fire (in a safe place) and burned it and said goodbye to it all with lots of creative ceremony as I watched the ashes and sparks fly away. It helped me release the negative hold those things had on me and helped me heal myself. Not that I am totally over some of those wrongs, but I don't think about them on a daily basis anymore. What are some of the ways you have helped yourself to heal, I am always ready to learn.Bead Belt for Fairies Fae Princess or a Wiccan by mystic2awesome

Oracle Card for Today
The Oracle Card I picked today is the "Retreat" card. This card does not mean to give up it just means that you need to take a break, take a deep breath because today is not the time to start something new. That is a difficult task for some since they are always focused on creating new things in their life, their craft and their work. So today instead of starting a new project, new craft, new chapter you could take the time to do something which gives your mind a rest and replenishes your soul. This can be anything in which you take great pleasure, that which makes you feel at peace within yourself. This can be anything from taking a walk in a nature setting, meditating or even a mindless walk through a mall just to lose yourself in the crowd. Try not try to think of the reason why you are there but just enjoy that you are.Lucid Dream of Patina Mushroom by Emme Toayeon Voodoochilli.net - Your Free Online Portfolio -photography, print, macro, art, abstract, glass, fabric, lights, purple, turquoise, green, patina,
Tomorrow start again on the work projects, the new ideas and the new rested refreshed you. The link above is a fun place where you can post seven images of your creativity for free and have people rate it or leave you feedback. It's easy to use and upload, you can blog if you want or you can rate the creative efforts of others for free.

Oracle Card for 2010
The Oracle Card chosen for 2010 is the Card of Enthusiasm. I know I have a difficult task before me if I am to keep this thought in my mind above all thoughts of jobless rates, shootings on the news and everything else that happens on the morning news. So maybe I will just change my urge to watch news in the morning and save it for later in the day.Norman Vincent Peale once said: Those who are fired with an enthusiastic idea and who allow it to take hold and dominate their thoughts find the new worlds open for them. As long as enthusiasm holds out, so will new opportunities.
Add to my New Years Resolutions: Enthusiasm in my everyday life, Enthusiasm when I get out of bed in the morning, Enthusiasm when I create and Enthusiasm when I think about each day every day all year long.

Angel Oracale Card

The Oracle Card randomly chosen for today is the "New Love" Card. The card does not necessarily mean that you will find a new passionate love although that could be one possibility. It could also mean a new change in your relationship, new creative love, new path you are traveling or something new to love in your life. This being the end of the year and rough times for a lot of people out there I'm glad that the Angel Cards bring hope and inspiration. If you are one of those who try to avoid changes of any kind please remember that sometimes change can bring something new into your live that you in time will love and appreciate. I'm going to be watching today for that "new love" and hope that I will recognize it when it happens along.
